Service Description

Acupressure originated in China nearly 4,000 years ago, where early healers discovered they could stimulate certain points on the body to assist recovery from illness and promote better health.  They mapped energy pathways called meridians throughout the body and explored the connections between vital energy, physical structure, emotional or mental health, and the natural world. Often called "acupuncture without needles," Acupressure is a hands-on technique that is deeply relaxing and effective, and typically not painful.  Acupressure can help significantly with pain management, stress reduction, digestive problems, insomnia, chronic illness, emotional balancing, and many other conditions. Consistent with traditional Asian philosophy, Acupressure is designed to address and integrate mind, body, energy and spirit. Treatments provide a deeply nourishing state for letting go of tensions or blockages, which promotes increased comfort, pain relief, physical healing and mind-body integration. Clients report feeling uniquely relaxed, grounded and empowered by feelings of peace, clarity and vitality.  I practice an integrative style of Acupressure that draws upon upon the Five Element tradition of classical Chinese medicine and the chakra system of Ayurvedic medicine, along with contemporary techniques from Soul Lightening Acupressure, Zero Balancing, and Jin Shin Jyutsu.
